Virtual School Thursday, May 21st

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.  They cannot be numbered!  I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!        Pslam 139:17-18

Add to, and pray for each other on our prayer board.  Remember to keep each other in your prayers throughout the summer.  You can always come back to the blog and add more requests and continue to pray for each other.

Math-Go to Seesaw and do the Fluency Math Poem about counting money.

Pretend you get to go on a camping trip next weekend with your best friend.  The only catch is that YOU are in charge of planning everything out.  You will sharpen your math skills and get ready to plan out the BEST camping weekend EVER!  Go to seesaw and do the Camping Equipment Budget Activity.  You will have a budget of $100, and get to pick out camping equipment for your trip.  Use the directions on the Seesaw activity to pick out your equipment.  Have FUN! I'm excited to see what you pick out with your budget.

Reading-Do the Point of View and the Read and Response Activity on Seesaw from A Camping Spree with Mr. McGee.  If you want re-read the book, go back to the Seesaw activity and view it again.

Social Studies-Listen to me read chapter 10 of Little House in the Big Woods.

Writing-Watch the imovie of memories of  this past year by clicking on the link.  imovie  It is about 15 minutes long.  When you're done watching the imovie, go to Seesaw and watch the lesson on highlights from 2nd grade. The pictures below are from the lesson.  Finally, complete the 2nd Grade Camping Brochure Activity on Seesaw, it has two pages. The brochure will be given to my future 2nd grade class.  You will help get them excited for 2nd grade, I will give them your brochures before school starts next year.  You can complete it on Seesaw, or print it out and turn it in when you pick up your things from school.

Tomorrow at 1:00, we will have our awards ceremony on zoom, sing happy birthday to our classmates with summer birthdays, and if time play a camping game.  Can't wait to see you all!
